But then after visiting another NPC the XP just kept streaming by quickly levelling up the goat – but it’s purely cosmetic as you don’t actually gain any advantages or new skills when you level up. At first I thought I discovered an XP bug, simply licking the same item over and over again produced more XP. And they hand out the dumbest quests ever from bringing apples to a guy who’s literally surrounded by hundreds of apples on the ground to pulling another dude out of poop (who gives you poop as a reward) and of course the classic destroy the gold farmers gold farming machines – just to name a few. The quest givers are standing in a glowing ring, so they’re easy to spot. Yes, your MMO dreams have come true! You can play as a microwave!! It may be an MMO in name but you’re playing this one solo. I hate to admit it, but it took me awhile to realize that the scrolling chat window is just a fake chat that streams by.

Once you enter the game, it looks and feels 100% like your standard MMO. The classes you can choose from are: Warrior, Rouge (yes Rouge, not Rogue), Magician, Hunter or Microwave. On the MMO side of things, you can choose from 5 different classes or choose to simply quest as a normal goat (boring!).

The controls are the same, and considering that the MMO and Goatz packs were DLC add-ons for the PC version I didn’t expect it to play differently than the base version of the game. At the base of it all, it’s still a sandbox type destruction game with a little more structure than the original game. GameplayĪs far as gameplay goes, you’re playing Goat Simulator and not much has changed there. The quests are pretty dumb, but that’s part of the charm, and if you’ve ever played any MMO before the script and quests in Goat Simulator: Mmore Goatz Edition do a fantastic job of poking fun at what’s wrong with most MMOs out there – both past and present. Neither the MMO or Goatz stories are fantastic, but at least in the case of the MMO side it’s somewhat of a structure to keep you moving forward. Unlike the original Goat Simulator, this edition has not one but two stories. In case you missed it, check out the trailer before we get started… Just over four months later, the studios have upped the ante and we take a look at what’s new in our Goat Simulator: Mmore Goatz Edition review. Not too long ago we took a look at Coffee Stain Studios and Double Eleven’s Goat Simulator Xbox One port.
